What are you creating in the world? A question for Creators

When you really take time to think, you can become aware that business is less than 200 years old, and the same is true of living in large urban cities. And yet, many people choose not to question how we got here but accept this reality without questioning how they were formed.

Granted, humans did not create the sun, the ocean, the sky or the earth but we did create the notion of work, money, vacations, retirement, taxes, the stock market and the healthcare system. We did not create gender, for example, but we did create the deep divides between men and woman by assigning value to the so called “breadwinner/hunter/gatherer” and downplaying the one giving and nurturing life. We did create borders and put boxes between nations that we call developed (First World) and those that are developing (Third World) based on economic models (that we created).

We have literally come to a point in time where we as human beings accept the current systems as they are without acknowledging that we are the ones who created them.

Do you look at the current systems — whether social, political, health, financial, legal, business or any other one that we created — and accept them as they are? Do you ever…
