What Are You Creating?
Life truly is remarkable. When you strive to be at the center of the party, it is mostly an illusion as it can only last so long. You will need to keep grabbing attention to stay at the center. Learn to be the center of your own story and deal with the punches life will throw your way. The promise of a constant state of happiness is an illusion that does not exist in this reality.
Life gives you lessons and it is up to you to have a desire to learn without focusing on a destination. Your experience of life will constantly change and evolve; just like nature does.
When you are at the beach, there is magic happening right in front of you. When the tide comes in, the sand creates beautiful patterns. The creation takes place as the sand surrenders to the wave, and does not concern itself whether the tide is high or low. It is ready to accept the flow and shift, with grace, to adapt to the next pattern that emerges. There is a beautiful immersive relationship taking place that is in flow and is whole.
Learning to disconnect from the external pressures of the world is important. Too many people get their power from others and the environment, but it is your inner self that gives you the real power you are seeking.
Self-awareness helps you to disconnect from other people’s dramas and shenanigans. It is essential to find that calm place inside to release your own voice to speak and energize you. And you cannot ignore your own darkness, which exists in every human being on the planet. Ignoring it won’t make it go away, it will only feed itself on your limiting beliefs of why you can’t take an action.
For millions of people around the world who suffer from a mental health issue, the manual recommends working with a psychiatrist or therapist; take drugs and suffer the side effects, and ignore or suppress the real pain, with medication. Something is just not right with this story. There has to be another way to treat illnesses rather than by sidelining and bombarding the physical body with chemicals. This begs the question: Is it us who demands that the standard of normalcy be controlled by medication? Have we given up on people because we do not like the way they show up in the world and lost the patience to tolerate differences? Have we forgotten to look inside ourselves, so that we can look at others with more compassion?
If we do not understand ourselves, how can we possibly understand another?
Having balance and finding your own flow in life is key. Your heart and your mind can find a sense of harmony when they have inner dialogues that reach a common ground. They are our inner guides — our guts — and are our most powerful navigational source to guide us on our path. You listen to your parents as a child, but as you get older, you can listen more to your own mind and heart. At some point, you have to let go of the apron strings and trust your own intuition and not someone else’s manual, or let idle gossip influence you.
The past is in the past and where you should keep it there. You cannot change it.
You can only change yourself when you are looking to tear down the veils of memory that haunt you. You are here to learn and the past serves as a teacher but not a place to dwell or get yourself stuck in. When you don’t learn from your past, you will repeat your stories until you do, whether it is a work situation, or a relationship challenge. You should not deny your past experiences but see them as wondrous gifts.
Your vision can get clearer and brighter when you are present and can see what you can go out and create. Without learning from a past experience, you might never be able to see the new idea or relationship emerging.
Life allows you to develop these skills when you are ready to reveal what has been hidden and waiting to be discovered by you.
