True listening is an art

Not truly listening to ourselves, and others, causes misunderstandings.

And on the other side of this equation is our feeling of being truly heard.

True listening is an art, which requires practice.

Checking in with someone — to become aware of whether the other person feels heard or validated — is a skill many of us can sharpen.

It helps us clear the air so we can co-create, and see the opportunities that are whispering to us.

It’s up to you to listen to yourself and become aware of your attitude, and how you communicate a message, so you can become more conscious of what’s going on within you.

Who does not want to ease up their life and flow like the ocean? Becoming aware of the low tides and the high tides helps find the balance and harmony that is needed in our world today.

When listening is an art, you can share with someone how you feel as a way to heal wounds, open doors, and build strong connections. You can say what is in your mind and heart outright, or you can add a dose of honey to learn how to lift yourself and others up. Many people don’t like feedback and live in judgement, so practicing the art of listening helps us be more aware of where they are at.

Not everyone is ready to step out of their comfortable box of delusion.

When we can stop warring within ourselves, much will change in the world around us. It takes the courage to consider what’s really important to you.

Chances are that over time, when you can step out of the comfort zone, you will grow your artistic skill of listening. And each of us can spend a lifetime perfecting our art … when we realize there is no destination. Like nature, we are here to grow … and expand our awareness.
