Let’s Get Real About Leadership
Taking the first step is personal
When we become in tune with what’s happening behind the veil of reality, we understand that we must step into our power. That much of what we’ve been taught and conditioned to believe works against us, and not for our best interest.
A leadership crisis did not just happen in 2020. It has been brewing for decades as we allowed ourselves to be led by people we elevated and who never had our best interest at heart. There’s no switch to turn on to change the landscape we’re faced with today. It has all been inevitable.
We allowed our notions of security, especially when it comes to financial security, to become the most important drivers of our life. Materialism showed up and was celebrated as the divides between us deepened. Our executives at work would tell us that teamwork and collaboration was important and yet there was only one promotion, one raise and one winner.
The deck was set against us and all we can do is win as an individual, as a team and as a company. The leadership we were taught to accept was flawed in its basic foundation as it conditioned us to be ruthless winners of competitions. We were taught to war with ourselves and each other in the quest to win a successful life. We stopped caring about how we achieved our success as being successful is the ultimate goal.
